With the 2020-21 football season coming to an end and the best way to capture all the games is still with conventional cable, cord-cutters can still go into action with a few smart hacks.

Due to Covid-19, 32 teams took to the field in a revised season this year. All pre-season games were canceled and many teams chose to play their home games without a fan on the stand (other teams limited the number of fans that could fill the stadium for each game). The NFL 2020-21 playoff field has expanded from 12 teams to 14 teams, effectively allowing one more wild-card team from each conference.

How to stream NFL games free without cable?

The 2021/2022 NFL season will air on several networks, including CBS, NBC, and Fox. CBS and Fox will broadcast the games on Sunday afternoon, you can watch Sunday night football on NBC. Fox will also show off a selected number of night football games on Thursday.

A typical TV antenna (like Amazon's) will give you access to stations like PBS and CW, as well as three channels of HD quality. Pay for the antenna once and enjoy the "free cable" as long as you have it installed. Our pick-up below can be mounted indoors or outdoors to pick up more stations than most basic antennas and offers a range of up to 120 miles.

Note: Monday night football will broadcast on ESPN, which you can't take via antenna. To watch football on ESPN, you can consider one of our live sports streaming options below.

How to stream NFL games online

For full NFL coverage, including CBS, NBC, and Fox, as well as the NFL Network and ESPN, you'll want to try using a live TV streaming service. This will give you access to ESPN on Monday night football as well as three major networks. And Fox has the most Thursday night football games, some streaming exclusively on the NFL network, which you can’t get with conventional cable or an antenna.

Many other live TV streaming services stream NFL games free to carry those local channels and ESPN, but most lack the NFL network and Redzone. Hulu lacks both live TV and AT&T TV now (take the previous direction). For 45 45 a month on the Orange and Blue plan of Ceiling TV you will get ESPN and Fox and/or NBC in a few big markets, but you will still lack CBS, NFL Network, and Redzone (the second was in Sling last year but has since moved on).

Most channels: FuboTV

The best bet for watching NFL online is fuboTV. A monthly subscription starts at just $ 4.99 (cheaper than most cable packages) and includes all major networks plus NFL networks and ESPN. Your fuboTV agreement also includes NBCSN and Fox Sports for post-game analysis.

In addition to sports, subscribing to FubTV on the show you want to record a game or watch again gives you over 500 hours of Cloud DVR Plus on more than 100 channels (including AMC, Bravo, E! And Showtime). The best part: three screens can be logged at once, so you don't have to fight channels during the game.

Best price: Sling TV

Ceiling TV is the cheapest live streaming service on our list, with plans to start at just $ 30 per month. The Sling Blue package gives you access to Fox and NBC (mostly on the market), as well as the NFL network. Sling Orange is your best ceiling TV deal to get ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN 3 as well as the Selling Orange + Blue package for just $ 45 / month (see details here).

Sling TV channels include AMC, E !, HGTV, USA, and many more. You can add their "Sports Extras" package for 10 bucks in addition to MLB Network, NHL Network, Tennis Channel, Golf Channel, and many more which streams you live in the NFL Red Zone.

Soling is offering a three-day free trial for new users here. When you sign up for any of their packages, they are also giving you a new deal that gives you free for the first month of Sports Extra. See the deal here.

Best New Service: Video

Video is one of the online streaming options but it has become a hit with both cord-cutters and sports enthusiasts. Video's original 40 40 deal got you ESPN and NFL networks in addition to ABC and Fox. You will also get access to Fox Sports, ESPN2, ESPN U, Big Ten Network, and BIN Sports for international matches (think of direct coverage of La Liga and Liga 1 Soccer).

Video's 50 50 deal oversees all PAC12 networks for NFL Red Zone and college sports. Choose a subscription based on your terms - Video requires no long-term contracts or hidden fees and you can cancel at any time. Watch with friends on up to three devices at once.

Video is currently offering a 3-day free trial to test the service. Get a 3-day free trial deal here.
